The Jungle

Here are some photos of our Jungle Habitats!! Here Alexa and Lucy have created a Cheetah habitat- they have created a a shelter and a place to run around. 

 Here Quinn, Monty and Kale have made a Monkey habitat. The heightened structures are for the Money's to swing from. There is a banana tree and a covered shelter for the Monkeys to sleep.

Explore Time - Helping Others

So many amazing Piako 1 children helping each other today!! Micah helped Ben complete his animal sheet, Jackson and Quinn worked together to make a giraffe family and Hareem and Trey worked well with each other when creating their zoo enclosures!!!

Explore Time - Zoo Animals

This week we are finding out lots about Zoo Animals. We have made enclosures, played the Zoo Keeper iPad game, found out all the animals that start with different alphabet letters, made zoo animal masks, made up plays about zoo animals and much more...

Second Writing Workshop

Explore Time - Flight

This week we have been learning about flight. We have made straw rockets, straw planes, darts, helicopters and flying models with Lego and Mobilo. Check out some of our amazing creations.

Another fun day being creative and explorative with all we know about vehicles!!! Some great mobilo creations that can go from sea to land, very imaginative vehicles created with shapes and lots of clever children matching up pictures with words of different vehicles!!!
